Burn Ban Null and Void as of September 24 2013

November 14, 2017

Effective September 24, 2013, the Declaration and Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning in Fort Bend County, Texas is null and void. Per Section II. of the County’s order, the local prohibition of outdoor burning is to remain in effect until rescinded or until a determination is made by the Texas A&M Forest Service that drought conditions no longer exist. Today, the Texas Forest Service is reporting that Fort Bend County has an average KBDI of 364 and today’s Fuel Dryness Map depicts Fort Bend County has having above normal moisture; therefore, we conclude drought conditions no longer exist and the County’s Declaration and Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning in Fort Bend County is null and void.
