CITY HALL CLOSED
City Hall is closed and will reopen as soon as power is restored
CURFEW
Missouri City Mayor Allen Owen has extended the City’s curfew effective from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning SUnday, Sept. 14 and ending on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 6 am. THis means that citizens cannot remain or travel upon any public or private property during these hours. The exception is resident movement on his or her own private property or a person who has been invited to that property.
HOUSEHOLD TRASH;
Normal service should continue today. CItizens should separate storm debris from household waste. Keep storm debris from storm drains as this could cause future street flooding. Missouri CIty parnered with Fort Bend County on a debris management plant. Neighborhoods will be on scheduled pickups over a period of weeks. The CIty will publicize information as it becomes available.
CITY COUNCIL MEETING LOCATION CHANGE TODAY ONLY
The City of Missouri City will be holding the regularly scheduled City Council meeting at 7 p.m. It will be held at the new Municipal Court at 3845 Cartwright Road.
WATER SERVICE/ELECTRIC OUTAGE
Electrical outages must be reported to CenterPoint Energy at 713-207-2222 or visit their website at centerpointenergy.com
Customer of Municipal Water Districts should report loss of water service to the service providers listed on their water bills. The service providers for the MUDs in Missouri CIty are Severn-Trent, 1-800-624-2026, SOuthwest Water, 713-405-1760 or 713-405-1750, and Quail Valley Utility, 281-499-5539.

BLUE ROOF PROGRAM;
To qualify for BLUE ROOF services, damage to the roof must be less than 50 percent and the area to be covered must be structurally sound for a crew to work on.

Texas Department of Insurance: TDI has information for consumers about hurricane preparation insurance tips. TDI’s toll-free consumer help line (1-800-252-3439) is maintaining extended hours, operationg Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and SUnday 1 to 7 p.m.
ATTORNEY GENERAL CONSUMER HOTLINE
The Office of the Attorney General has announced extended hours during the emergency for its Consumer COmplaint Hotline (800)252-8011. Consumers can call between teh extended hours of 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. to report price gouging on necessities, including groceries, clothing ,medical supplies, lodging, repair work and fuel during and after such crises. COmplaints can be made on-line 24 hours per day, 7 days per week on the OAG website. THe website can be accessed at www.texasattorneygeneral.gov.
211 Information AND REFERRAL LINE
The statewide 2-1-1 telephone network is operational again as an information and referral line. Those calling 2-1-1 can get Hurricane Ike-related information, including road closures, shelter information, mental health services, health-related service centers and FEMA procedures. All Texas residents can now call 2-1-1 for any questions related to recovery from Hurricane Ike.
MISSOURI CITY COMMUNITY CENTER TEMPORARILY CLOSED
Until further notice, the Community Center at the City Hall Complex (including the fitness center, leisure class classrooms) is closed until further notice. Facility rental reservations also are not being taken at this time.
