Fort Bend County Initiates Stand Down

Fort Bend County, TX – At a 10 AM conference call with the National Weather Service, the Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management was advised that the Tropical Storm Warning for Fort Bend has been canceled.  Tropical Storm Edouard is anticipated to move rapidly through the NE portion of Harris County and Montgomery County with minimal effects on the Fort Bend area.  Winds of 20-25 MPH and rain of 1-2 inches can be expected throughout the next 12 hours.  At 11 AM today, the Emergency Operations Center will move from Level 1 to Level 3 conditions with minimal staffing through 5 PM at which time we anticipate that level 4 conditions (normal operations) will be restored.
