FORT BEND EXTENDS DEADLINE TO FEBRUARY 12, 2010 FOR THOSE STILL NEEDING HOME REPAIRS FROM HURRICANE IKE
Fort Bend County is extending the deadline of applications for the Disaster Recovery Texas Community Development Block Grant Program to February 12, 2010. If your home sustained damages due to Hurricane Ike, you may be eligible for assistance.
The purpose of the housing rehabilitation/reconstruction program is to provide assistance to homeowners through the rehabilitation or demolition and reconstruction of substandard homes to benefit low to moderate-income residents of Fort Bend County whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Ike. Homes can be repaired in the unincorporated areas of Fort Bend County as well as the following cities: Arcola, Beasley, Fairchilds, Fulshear, Kendleton, Meadows Place, Missouri City, Needville, Orchard, Pleak, Richmond, Rosenberg, Simonton, Stafford, Sugar Land and Thompsons.

Applications must be submitted to the Fort Bend County Community Development Department, Rosenberg Annex, 4520 Reading Road, Suite A, Rosenberg Texas 77471 by February 12, 2010.
