FORT BEND COUNTY, TX – Fort Bend County Transit will be offering Free Fare during Fort Bend County Fair week (September 28, 2015 – October 2, 2015). All trips to and from the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds will be free under the Demand Response Service. Demand Response Service is offered Monday through Friday, with operating hours of 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Reservations will need to be made in advance.
The Fort Bend County Point Deviation Bus Service, providing fixed routes in the Richmond/Rosenberg area, is also free of charge during Fort Bend County Fair week. The Fort Bend County Point Deviation Bus Service provides weekday service along major thoroughfares in the Richmond/Rosenberg area, with designated stops to municipal offices, shopping, medical and community service locations. Fares will resume to $1.00 per person on October 3, 2015.
County Commissioner Precinct One, Richard Morrison said, “I’m very pleased with the new service in Richmond/Rosenberg. I encourage everyone to take advantage of the free fares during the Fort Bend County Fair.”
