FORT BEND COUNTY, TX- On November 1, 2010 Fort Bend County held an open house event to celebrate the grand opening of the new Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Headquarters located at 4332 Highway 36 in Rosenberg. Fort Bend County EMS is no stranger to the Fort Bend Community. Since 1972, the county has provided emergency medical services 24 hours per day, everyday. This new 14,116 square foot building, constructed by Bass Construction, will include Administrative Offices, Medic One Facilities, Training and Class Rooms, Conference Rooms, a Bunk area, storage capacity, and ample vehicle parking for employees and various Regional Response Vehicles that are in the county’s possession. County Judge Bob Hebert stated, “This new Emergency Medical Services Headquarters will help improve the quality of emergency medical services to Fort Bend County and help us meet our goal of expanding the quality as well as the quantity of all county services as we grow.” A traditional ribbon cutting ceremony was held followed by tours of the facility.
