Time Is Running Out For Texans To Apply For Blue Roof Program

AUSTIN, Texas — The last day Texans can sign up for free temporary roofing repairs to their homes through Operation Blue Roof is Oct. 13.

The program is funded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Under the program authorized for the disaster recovery, Corps contractors install plastic sheeting as a temporary solution that allows individuals to remain in their residence until they can make more permanent repairs.

You must register for the program at a designated location to allow entry to your property, in Fort Bend County registration will continue at the Sugar Land Community Center at 226 Matlage Way, Sugar Land, Texas  through Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
